For sexual reproduction there has to be 2 parents. One male and the other female. The father's cell will determine the gender of the organism. This is because a fathers cell has a Y & an X, but the mother has 2 X's. So 1 x goes from the mother but if the father give the Y the organism would be male but if the father gives an X then the organism will be female.
Mitosis creates cells for growth and repair, not for sexual reproduction. Binary fission is a form of asexual reproduction, not sexual reproduction. Diploid cell production is mitosis (mitosis creates diploid cells, or cells with a full set of chromosomes)
Meiosis is the correct answer. Meiosis creates gametes or sex cells that are necessary for sexual reproduction. Through this cell division process, 4 gametes are produced. The cells that are produces are haploid, which means they only have half of a full set of chromosomes. The cells are haploid because, during fertilization, a sperm (male sex cell) and egg (female sex cell) fuse. The result is a diploid zygote with half of the genetic information from the father and the other half from the mother.

Meiosis (SEXUAL cell division) is a type of Mitosis (cell division). Diploid cell production happens during meiosis when the haploid (n) cells from the parents divide into TWO diploid (2n) cells (which have the complete set of chromosomes from the parents).
Basically, meiosis is required for sexual reproduction (unless in your question you can choose more than one answer...so it'll be meiosis, diploid cell production, mitosis)
The correct answer is B) Sexual Reproduction. This is the only answer where a mate is required and where there is gamete fusion involved - asexual reproduction is where any children come from a single organism alone, mitosis is a process in which one cell splits into two, and binary fission is just another form of asexual reproduction.
