It is a particularly notable factor for the patient who is going through a more lengthy  rehabilitation. In rehabilitation, motivation is suggested as a predictor of functional outcomes. The motivation for rehabilitation is reported to influence physical activity and participation in training. Thus, motivation can be expressed as physical activity and attitude toward rehabilitation.
