Step-by-step explanation:

The null hypothesis is the hypothesis that is assumed to be true. It is an expression that is the opposite of what the researcher predicts.

The alternative hypothesis is what the researcher expects or predicts. It is the statement that is believed to be true if the null hypothesis is rejected.

From the given situation,

news article says that high school students are currently spending an average of 15 hours per week doing homework online. This is the null hypothesis.

H0: µ = 15 hours

You don't think this is an accurate estimate, although you're not sure whether the real value is higher or lower. This is the alternative hypothesis.

Ha : µ ≠ 15 hours

a. Analytical.

Explanation:

There would be some who would argue and call it as an expository non-fiction work but that would be unfair as expository form only deals with the explaining of the topics which may include the news stories. But the articles provided in the newspaper, essays and biographies exemplify the analytical non-fiction works as it requires the analytical skills of the speaker. For say, if a writer is writing an article about increasing pollution or a road accident he or she will have to analyze the given data and present accordingly. However, the authors of these works have to act as a catalyst as the work should not have a single impression of their opinions and perceptions regarding the issue or person in case of a biography because this would turn the work into a biased and unauthentic one.

Article LINER1, titled "TITANIC KEPT AFLOAT BY WATER-TIGHT COMPARTMENTS BEING TOWED INTO HALIFAX, N.S.," provides a report on the Titanic's fate and the rescue of its passengers. It states that the Titanic is slowly crawling toward Halifax, Nova Scotia while being towed by the Allan liner Virginian. The article mentions that the passengers have been transferred to other vessels and will be transferred again to the Baltic. It highlights that the disaster is unparalleled in the history of navigation and emphasizes the luxuriousness and resilience of the Titanic.

On the other hand, the article in The Day Book, titled "LINER TITANIC WRECKED BY ICEBERG; PASSENGERS TRANSFERRED TO OTHER VESSELS IN MID-OCEAN," presents a different perspective. It states that the Titanic is slowly crawling toward Halifax, held afloat only by her watertight compartments. It mentions that all passengers were taken off and put aboard other steamers, owing their survival to a calm sea and the use of wireless communication. The article highlights that the disaster is unequalled in the history of navigation and emphasizes the danger faced by the passengers.

In summary, both articles acknowledge the sinking of the Titanic and the transfer of its passengers to other vessels. However, there are differences in their viewpoints. The LINER1 article emphasizes the Titanic's ability to stay afloat due to its water-tight compartments and highlights the luxury of the ship, whereas The Day Book article focuses on the danger faced by the passengers and the role of wireless communication in their rescue.

We can point out the following pieces of information in the article about class warfare:

"It's not that we don't love our job. We wouldn't teach if we didn't. But most of us have had to take on second jobs just to pay the bills."

"The governing board refused to comment on the strike, furthering a stalemate between the two groups."

Animal Farm has very similar concepts as the ones extracted from the text.

The teachers could just as well be compared to Boxer the hardworking, but naive horse in George Orwell's Animal Farm. he is dedicated and loyal and work for love of his profession, but see his efforts are vain given that his life and work is not valued by the new government.

The governing board strike a strong resemblance with Napoleon, the leader of the farm, in the book Napoleon exhorts the other animals to fight and die for the good of the farm, he himself is a coward and a lazy one. The government body, seems to expect the teachers to work with low salaries, but certainly must have higher salaries and better working conditions.

Both in the article as well as in Animal Farm we see the result of government not taking care of workers and expecting results that cannot be reached due to the hardships of reality.

"OH MY GOD TAKE THAT SLENDERMAN" yells everyone as they all jumped up and down with excitement.

It was a dark morning and the time was 3:30 AM, a group of teenagers found them self's in the darkest set of trees when they heard the most nerve breaking sound ever. A stick broke behind them and they all jumped up out of their seats, they looked around to see what had made the stick break but they didn't see anything there. All of sudden they hear someone calling out to them from the trees, “come here, children”. The teenagers run away from the voice for 3 minutes, but the voice gets closer and closer the farther away they run, one of the teenagers gather enough bravery to look behind them and see a 7-foot white figure that is chasing them. They try and outrun the monster but he is still on their trail, one of the teenagers saw a log cabin and they decided to hide in it for a few minutes until they had lost the figure...

An hour passed by and they heard the figure walk past the door a few times after they see the figure was finally gone, in the meantime, they look around in the log cabin, Jaron (one of the teenagers)find a book on the figure they saw, he looked at the title and read it aloud. "The Tale of Slendrman." he opened the book and he read a news article on the first page that said, “A group of teenage friends went in the woods to have a party and never came back.” everyone looked at the other article that lay on the page after the first, “A group of teenage girls, found alive, following a 7-foot entity, but it looks like they have stab wounds all around their bodies.” Jaron looked up from the book and asks everyone, “Do you guys think this is real or fake?”  “This looks pretty real, and we are getting chased by the THING that can kill people.” everyone nods their head in agreement with Maria's statement.

Later Maria hears something outside, she sees Nancy watching out the door. “See anything Nancy?” Nancy shakes her head, “Not yet.” “We should get going,” Maria says. “Wait.” Jaron says, “Look, it says you can't look at its face or it can take control over you!” “Oh, great so we can't look at its face either, that’s just great," Maria says. “Ok so if we stay quiet and out of its sight then we can escape,” Jaron says. Everyone nods again in agreement, with what Jaron says. “Ok are we all ready?” asks Jaron. “Yes.” everyone says. Jaron slowly opens the door and looks out to make sure that the thing wasn't standing anywhere near the door, they go outside and stand near the door just in case they have to run back inside. “Look around make sure Slenderman isn't around, so if you hear anything let everybody know, Ok?” Jaron whispers to the group. “Ok,” everyone says quietly. Nancy hears in the distance, “Come here I will get youuu and we will have fun forever.” says Slenderman in a deep voice. “Did you guys hear that?” Nancy asks everyone whispering. The group shook their heads in replied “No.”

2 days later, “Ok guys were almost out,” Jaron says. “Yayyy,” everyone shouted in excitement. “S were not completely out yet,” says Nancy. Everyone shushes and nods. “Wait he's watching us I have a feeling that he is watching our every move,” says Maria. “look at that tree, does it look weird to you?” says Jaron. “Oh no, R” everyone shouts as they jumped up and cheered out.
