B) We need to improve the education system so that more people get the opportunity to read and enhance their knowledge.

Explanation:

This is the statement that best expresses the main argument of the speech. In this excerpt, the author explains the state that many libraries, schools and programs around the country are in. She tells us that throughout the country, she has seen how libraries are often ill-equipped, and programs are cancelled, and how this means that they cannot fully serve those who need them. Therefore, improving the education system should be a priority so that more people get to enhance their knowledge.

QUESTION 1. B) Were concerned about the government having too much power

The founding fathers took care of listing some of the restrictions that the government will have in order to prevent the creation of a government that may abuse its power, and violate some of the most basic rights of people such as the right to freedom.

QUESTION 2. C) Fred, because he wants people to be accountable for crimes.

Fred is the one who has a more rigid vision about the punishment of people, he does not focus on their circumstances nor reasons for committing to crime, but on the crime itself and how it affects society. Therefore, he's more likely to support an effort to lengthen prison terms for repeat offenders because, above all, that people should be accountable for crimes.

QUESTION 3. B) The candidate has voted for legislation that would make health care for the poor and middle class more accessible.

Good candidates are concerned about what's going on in the nation, not only do they talk about their opponent's ideas (Option A), but they focus on the actions that they must take to carry on the projects that will benefit the nation in some way, such as option B suggests.

Option C is incorrect because legislation that benefits the poor and middle class is more permanent and efficient than donating to charities as this would only benefit a group of people temporarily.

Option D is not correct either because to be a candidate that supports a voter's concern, the degrees are not free-ticket pass. There are other fundamental characteristics such as leadership and proactivity.

I will tell the citizens that multiparty political system would be better for the country.

In multiparty system, the legislative body are filled with representatives from several different parties ( meanwhile, our government is dominated by only two parties)

Multiparty system make it far less likely for one party to gain majority control of the government and can do basically anything they want. The power of their party in the government would be limited by the existence of other parties.

Not only that, voters might have different ideologies that cannot fully represented by two parties or less (for example, some people in America could adopt half of republican values and half of demcorats values). Having multiple party in this situations would  be beneficial because they offer different alternatives for the voters.

In two-party systems, there are two major parties that represent people's beliefs. This is the system seen in the United States with Republicans and Democrats. People choose for one of the two who are polar opposites and if a new idea rises then one of the party adopts it in its own way. The advantages are stability in the government because a single party can control the congress and get laws passed. Disadvantages are for example the president and the congress coming from different parties which can cause a lot of problems for the government.

Multiparty systems feature numerous parties as almost anyone can have their party with its own sets of ideas. All the parties can become members of their respective parliaments if they pass what is called the census, that is, a minimal amount of votes necessary in order to become a member of the parliament. Advantage is that there is a bigger choice for people, while the disadvantage can be over-saturation of parties which can cause instability.

Advantages of a coalition government are that various parties are used to govern and they have their own ideas and that prevents a single party from pushing its own agenda regardless of what others think. Disadvantages of a coalition government is that there is a high amount of instability since there are a lot of various parties and they all want their own well-being ensured so they often clash with others from their own coalition.

(characteristics of a two-party system)

I believe that a (2) party system would be a lot better. The reason to why I would think this would be because when having two parties, arguments would come more clear.

(characteristics of a multiparty system)

I feel like have multiple of systems would be just to many. In my opinion, 2 is just perfect, and having any more would just be to many, to many different thoughts all in 1. So,that would be why I think multiple systems would be to much.

(advantages and disadvantages of a coalition government)

This would be very risky because once the settlement has been made, there would have to take some time to take back this law or what ever has been made.

So, when having a (first party) system, this would be very different as when having two. The reason this would be would be mainly because it's only 1, and one would be very easy to make laws and different choices, and because of this, they have considered to make 2.
