There are 280 students and 30 teachers at Pete's school. The students and teachers will vote on Friday to choose a new school mascot. The principal has asked Pete to survey a sample of the teachers and students to try to predict the outcome of the mascot election.
The day before the election, Pete visits all three lunch periods. He asks 25 students at random in each period which mascot they will vote for. He places a survey form in each teacher's mailbox. 12 teachers respond to the paper survey. Their votes are tallied in the table below.
