Jesse purchased a full tank of gas on Thursday on Friday he took a road trip and use one-half of a tank. on Sunday he did the same here and use an additional one-third of the tank how much gas does Jesse have left

Taking Initial gas in the tank be X. In Friday's road trip he used one half of a tank. Therefore remaining gas = X - X/2 = X/2

On Sunday he did the same means using one-half of the tank means after 2nd trip the remaining gas = X/2 - X/4 = X/4

Additional used one-third of the gas this means total left gas = X/4 + X/3 = 7X/12
